Teeth Whitening Atlanta

Who doesn’t want a whiter, brighter smile? It is a great boost of confidence and it makes you feel younger. Even better, it’s fun, easy and safe!

Most people will find themselves examining their teeth at some point or another. Maybe your friend posted a picture of you on social media, and your pearly whites just aren’t as bright as they used to be. Perhaps you caught a glimpse of your reflection and weren’t impressed with the lackluster shade of white your teeth have become. Either way, you likely considered giving your teeth the shine they once had. Atlanta teeth whitening is the best way to give your smile a boost!

Whiten Your Discolored Teeth

Teeth whitening is a procedure that brightens teeth that are discolored, stained or older. It can be performed on any natural tooth, but will unfortunately not lighten bonding or any type of porcelain restoration. There are many companies that are profiting from this booming service; however, the best and safest way to achieve a whiter smile is by your Atlanta teeth whitening dentist.

Are Your Teeth Stained?

Most commonly, teeth become stained over time due to what we consume or other environmental factors. Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure that removes or lessens the appearance of stains on the teeth. If your teeth could use a color makeover, schedule a consultation to see what your options are. Though most people are great candidates for teeth whitening, there are some factors that could be unfavorable when considering a whitening procedure.

Are You  A Good Atlanta Teeth Whitening Candidate?

If you have any of the following contributing factors, you may not be the best candidate for teeth whitening.

  • Pregnant/Nursing: consult with your physician before undergoing teeth whitening if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Tobacco Users: if you smoke or use tobacco products frequently, teeth whitening may not be for you. Continued tobacco use will cause the teeth to become stained again, even after treatment. This is particularly true if you cannot refrain from smoking during the whitening process.
  • Gum Disease/Receding Gums: gum disease often causes erosion of the gums around the tooth root. Because the tooth root does not have a layer of enamel, it will not be lightened during the whitening process. This can cause teeth to look two-toned.
  • Cavities/Decay: decay of the teeth causes weakened spots on the tooth, which can lead to cavities. Bleaching agents can enter the tooth through the cavity and cause major sensitivity of the teeth.

If you have any of the above conditions, it does not automatically disqualify you from undergoing teeth whitening. Schedule a consultation with your Atlanta teeth whitening dentist to see what hurdles you may face, and to create a plan to get you the white smile you’ve always wanted!

There are two ways to whiten your smile:

Zoom!™ Teeth Whitening: In-office teeth whitening procedure that takes approximately 1 ½ hours and the results are unbelievable.

Custom Tray Teeth Whitening: Custom impressions (molds) are made for you in our office. These trays are thin, comfortable and fit your teeth exactly. This enables you to whiten your teeth while in the privacy of your own home.

Most of our patients use a combination of both. The Zoom!™ Whitening gives you instant results and the trays are used at home to maintain your beautiful, bright smile.
