Dr. Giesler has a practice in which your entire family can be treated in one office. General dentistry is family dentistry and you can feel comfortable having your entire family treated by her team. A specialist is recommended when appropriate and she works with the best in Atlanta. General dentistry can be accomplished in a cosmetic manner. For example, we do not place silver fillings so changing an existing silver amalgam can be considered a simple cosmetic procedure.

Children have specific dental needs. The baby teeth are very important as they guide the adult teeth into the proper position. Your child will receive our undivided attention and will be made to feel very special while visiting us. We have TV monitors in each room and have found that this is especially helpful while treating our young patients. We like to begin seeing children by age 2. It is very important that children have enjoyable dental appointments and we try very hard to create a fun environment for them.

Prevention is the answer and early treatment is often the best. We begin to examine the occlusion (bite) very early to prevent bigger problems later on. Six month appointments will help your child learn about proper dental hygiene and start forming good habits that will last them a lifetime. Early orthodontic treatment is extremely important, and can start as early as 6 years old. Dr. Giesler does not sedate children and can usually treat most children in the office environment. Early (interceptive) orthodontic treatment is extremely important for our children. Dr. Giesler will assess when it is time for your child to see an orthodontist.
