Cosmetic Dentist in Atlanta, Dr. Giesler

Dr. Giesler is a Master Dentist of the Academy of General Dentistry, a rare distinction achieved by fewer than 1 percent of American dentists, and an active member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Georgia Dental Association.

She is deeply committed to continuing education, attending over 100 hours of continuing courses each year. Dr. Giesler has been involved in the profession of dentistry since 1980. After graduating from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston, she completed a hospital residency program at the Oklahoma Medical Center. She received extensive training in treating medically compromised children and adults. She also served a one-year commitment with the Public Health Service in Plainview, Texas.

Dr. Giesler associated with 2 private offices prior to purchasing her first practice from the late Dr. J.D. McConnell. In 1998 she sold her Texas practice and relocated to Atlanta. She has been at Post Riverside ever since.

Dr. Giesler is working on her accreditation through the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a past Board of Trustees member of the AACD Foundation where she chaired the 2007 Celebration of Smiles Event featuring Kenny Rogers. She serves as a Board Member for the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry. She is serving a 5 year term on the prestigious 3M Council for Innovative Dentistry. She received the top dentist award for 2004-2005. In 2007 she was honored with the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry first Humanitarian Award. She is committed to local charities in Atlanta and has served as Chairperson for the March of Dimes Gala, she is committed to the Ryan Cameron Foundation. She serves of several committees throughout the years, but her passion is working with domestic violence survivors. She is the founder of the Atlanta Smiles Foundation, Inc., where she serves on her board and provides free dentistry to survivors of domestic abuse. Her hobbies include interior design, dance, and kickboxing. She is married to John H. Giesler, M.D. and together they have 3 beautiful children. Dr. Giesler, cosmetic dentist, is proud serve the residents of Atlanta, Georgia and makes Atlanta her home.
