Prevention is the answer and early treatment is often the best. We begin to examine the occlusion (bite) very early to
prevent bigger problems later on. Six month appointments will help your child learn about proper dental hygiene and
start forming good habits that will last them a lifetime. Early orthodontic treatment is extremely important, and
can start as early as 6 years old. Dr. Giesler does not sedate children and can usually treat most children in the
office environment. Early (interceptive) orthodontic treatment is extremely important for our children. Dr. Giesler
will assess when it is time for your child to see an orthodontist.
